About Sakamoto
Sakamoto appeared on the jewelry scene in Los Angeles in 1979. It was an exciting and innovative time. There was a resurgence of interest in uniqueness and quality. A "new" designer movement was to begin. These young men and women were destined be collected as were the works of Tiffany and Cartier.

Sakamoto is a third generation Japanese American. He describes himself as a minimalist and takes on the challenge to create jewelry where less is more. Platinum and 18 karat yellow gold take on strongly sensual shapes. They curve and bend and arc gracefully. They are feminine and masculine in form. They are yin/yang.
