In continuing with the tradition of featuring the preeminent jewelry designers from around the world, Johannes Hunter Jewelers is delighted to highlight MARIKA Desert Gold as the featured jewelry designer for the month of August. Recently Robin and Kat traveled to Las Vegas for the annual jewelry trade shows: JCK, Luxury and Couture. There they were immediately struck by the stunning karat gold pieces of MARIKA Desert Gold, and knew they had to bring this beautiful jewelry to Colorado Springs.

It is the first time this stunning jewelry collection has made its way into Johannes Hunter Jewelers. They chose this collection to offer an important karat gold look for a mid-range price point. The pieces are inspired by nature—flowing, floral aesthetics combined with gorgeous yellow gold, striking diamond accents, and hand engraved textures to create breathtaking pieces of jewelry. The Desert Gold Collection joins traditional craftsmanship with creative design, contemporary trends, and the highest quality gemstones and metals.

About the Designer

MARIKA Desert Gold is the work of designer Marika, a Hungarian-born jewelry designer. Her ability to create wearable works of art stems from an early age. She studied fashion and design at the prestigious Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel. Her unique designs and talent led her to establishing fashion lines which were featured in several boutiques and shops in Israel. Soon, her true gift and eye for fashion design led her down the path of jewelry design and production.

With Marika’s multi-faceted design skills, she became the lead designer of the Desert Gold collections. While Marika has always felt a natural attraction to beauty and luxury, she would have never guessed she would be setting trends and influencing tastes in the world of jewelry like she is today.

Because of Marika’s innate talent in design, inspiration from nature, and thorough and comprehensive education, she is ahead of the curve when it comes to modern fashion and jewelry trends. Her works continue to showcase her passion through her beautiful, captivating designs.
